"This exhibition and lecture are planned by the Kanazawa Lacquer Art Association, a group of members who discussed what we, as lacquer art professionals, can do. By reexamining Noto's lacquerware culture, which dates back to the Jomon period, and hearing from the people of Wajima about its current state, we hope to contribute to the revival of Noto through lacquer and contribute in some way to the future of lacquer art."

Approximately 70 members of the Kanazawa Lacquer Art Association from Kanazawa, Wajima, and Yamanaka will gather for a joint exhibition at the Shiinoki Guest House in Kanazawa City.
